TATRANEWS - October Newsletter

Hello Friends: Fall is in full splendor, the colors are magnificent, yet some days, we can still enjoy the lingering warmth of summer. There is lots happening on the writing front. First, The Mind Spins, my short story collection will be released on November 8th by P.R.A. Publishing. Watch for this collection that brings together some stories based on dreams, and some, on conscious reality, that focus on social issues or are based on real life events. We are currently working on a Book Club guide for those interested. This follows hard on the heels of the previously announced publication of the updated second edition of Arctic Meltdown on August 28th. This very relevant thriller is now being turned into an audio book with the help of Tom Briggs, a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, and should be available within the next week or so. This is my second audiobook after Twisted Reasons (now available on Amazon, Audiobooks or ACX) which was very successfully read by actor and news reporter Brad Holbrook. Brad has now started work on Twisted Traffick, the second book in the Twisted trilogy. Ultimately, I am very excited about doing an audio version for all my books. I have a number of Upcoming Events: October 24 - A Climate Change symposium arranged by my class at Harvard in which my start-up investments in three carbon trading and renewable energy companies will be featured alongside my poetry and thrillers that touch on the topic. November (TBD) - appearance on a Canadian radio program featuring me reading my poetry. I will let everyone know the precise details closer to the date, and will provide links to the audio tape for those interested. December 1, 7:00pm EDT - I will be talking about my newest book, my short story collection, The Mind Spins, at the Vermont Humanities Council's First Wednesday program. The link will be available closer to the date. January 24, 6:30pm EDT - the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier VT is hosting me in a Zoom call to talk about my writing and climate change. I will provide the Zoom link in due course. Other News: I continue to do book reviews, most recently Clean Copy by R.R. Brooks and The Poe Consequence by Keith Steinbaum. These are available on my website as well as Amazon, Goodreads etc. As has become my habit, I will leave you with a poem, this time one appropriate for the season, from my third volume Extinction: Fallen Leaves fallen leaves tango in the street with whirling dust that tears the eyes, rustle with the strains of the wind, announcing the advent of fall and I shiver as I follow in their wake toward the winter from which there is no more waking Enjoy reading and listening, Geza
