Hello my friends,I will keep it brief this time, but I do have a few good news items to report.First, my nineteenth book and first murder mystery, The Purple School Bus Murders, was published in mid-March. The book is set in Vermont, but has lots of local and international intrigue in it. A good read, I am told. It is now available on Amazon at https://rb.gy/3se24y or through your local bookstore. We are also working on an audiobook version, which should be available in the latter half of May on the Amazon site, or Audible or ACX.I will also be doing several launches of the book, first at the Charles Danforth Library in Barnard VT on May 11th at 4:00 pm (date and time to be confirmed) and at the Norman Williams Public Library in Woodstock VT on May 27th at 6:00 pm. I hope some of you will be able to come to these launches! The book, along with most of my other eighteen books, will also be available at Bookstock on the Woodstock green from the afternoon of May 16th through to the morning of the18th, where I will have a table. Please come and stop by!It is short notice, but on April 29th between 5:30 and 7:00 pm I will be reading a few of my poems at the Poetry Society of Vermont event in the Hayes Room of the Kellogg Hubbard Library in Montpelier VT celebrating Poetry Month. It would be great if you could join us!
And last but not least, I would like to bring to your attention the premiere of a song cycle co-created by my composer friend Leonard Lehrman and me: Leonard set to beautiful music my four poems in Our Four Seasons. A couple of these poems I originally wrote a long time ago in Hungarian, and Leonard encouraged me to translate these into English and then complete the cycle in both English and Hungarian. So, at the event at the Court Street Music Hall (33 Court St., Valley Stream, NY 11580), on Sunday June 15 1-5pm, I will read the poems in Hungarian, and the song cycle will be performed by Leonard and Helene Williams Spierman, an amazing soprano. If you are on Long Island or anywhere near there, I think this will be a real treat to catch.Hope you all have a great late spring and start to the summer, with lots of good reading! My very best wishes,Geza
